Internships

Sen. Kennedy offers internships throughout the year in his Washington, D.C. office as well as in some state offices. Interns in the Washington office will learn the federal legislative process by closely interacting with the legislative staff to conduct policy research, attending committee hearings, answering phone calls from constituents, and giving tours of the Capitol building for visiting constituents.

In the state offices, interns will gain experience focused on constituent services. State office interns interact with constituents on a daily basis in order to solve challenges facing Louisianans. Duties include working with federal agencies, participating in outreach projects, and assisting staff members with administrative tasks.

There are a limited number of internship positions. All interested applicants are encouraged to submit the application as early as possible.
