Project purpose: This funding will provide this vital commercial waterway the resources it needs in order to maintain the 200 plus mile artery. Specifically, funding will prevent a dam safety emergency or navigation loss at the Boggs Lock and Dam, which will cut off access to the entirety of the LBJWW from the Mississippi.

Project purpose: This funding will advance planning, environmental, and engineering work for the St. Bernard Transportation Corridor, an elevated roadway along the 40 Arpent Canal that will connect Lower St. Bernard to the interstate system.

Project purpose: This funding will provide the city of Ruston, La. with initial construction planning for the first phase of a new service road connecting Ruston, La. to Grambling, La.

Recipient name: Plaquemines Parish

Project purpose:  This funding will provide vehicle access to the 8th District US Coast Guard Station in Venice, Louisiana. Currently, this vital roadway needs serious improvements as it regularly floods, preventing access to USCG Station Venice. In the last 12 months, this vital access road has flooded approximately five times, often cutting off all vehicle access to the critical Coast Guard facility.

Project purpose: This funding will provide much-needed infrastructure upgrades and modernization to the original 23-year-old D-Day Invasion of Normandy building and exhibitions.

Project Purpose: This funding will construct an addition to the base medical facility to relieve overcrowding and reduce wait times.

Project Purpose: This funding will construct a new child development center on base. This will reduce wait times and consolidate all childcare activities into one building, reducing operating costs and increasing efficiencies.

Project Purpose: This funding will construct a dormitory for Security Forces Airmen to address the growing number of personnel that will be assigned to the base in support of the weapons generation facility.
